Born in 1995, I grew up in Stellenbosch, South Africa. In High school I started programming in Java for my Information Technology class and in 2021 I graduated from Unisa with a BSc. in Computing. During my studies I started working in service delivery on a project called FarmPin and soon after started automating and rewriting some of the existing codebase from Google Sheet scripts into a fully fledged Web Application.
Today I work full time at Afrolabs, a Software Development Agency where we are contracted out to multiple clients, to work on software for anything from fresh startups to larger corporations.
I've worked on logistics systems, live tracking vehicles in transit; built in-house software for a tourist company used to coordinate sidecar tour guides, helping them move away from Excel spreadsheets and Whatsapp for organisational management; and even spent 10 months working for an EduTech company, helping them rework their onboarding flow, refactoring and maintaining existing systems and worked with Product in planning out the technical scope of a new product.
In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, diving into a new video game, listening to audiobooks while washing dishes and from time to time, painting some Warhammer miniatures.

Part-time Service Delivery which moved into Full Blown Development
Rebuilt the central platform allowing for interactive maps viewing of pre-configured farmlands as well as graphing of growth analytics drawn up and pulled from Sentinel-hub. I handled onboarding of new clients, generation of field configurations and integration into the newly built centralised system that pulls and stores analytics for users to view on the platform.
